Spice Isle's Lasting Memories

Guests will visit Fort George, the site of former Prime Minister Maurice Bishops' execution during the 1983 revolution as well as Fort Frederick, where you not only get a feel of Grenada's colorful past but also the best 'Panoramic View' on the island. Get more acquainted with the island's historical side at The Grenada National Museum, located in the building which was actually Grenada's first hotel, 'The Home Hotel', in the heart of St. George's. Drive past the Parliament House and observe the beautiful 18th century architecture of the Roman Catholic, Anglican and Presbyterian Churches. End the day with a tour of the Westerhall Rum Distillery, where rum is made the old way without sacrificing character and taste for affordability. You will find the tour guide most charming as he himself once worked there many, many years ago. At the end of it all this opportunity to sample the deliciously aged rum.
