Sails in the Desert Hotel

Classic Vacations has been advised by Sails in the Desert of the following refurbishments update:

Standard Rooms: in recognition of the enhancements made, we are giving these rooms a new name to reflect their refurbishment, Superior Rooms. They remain Sails in the Desert hotel’s entry level room type; however they now offer a far more superior guest experience. From mid May 2012, all Standard Rooms at Sails in the Desert will be renamed Superior Rooms. The Superior Rooms configurations will continue to have the same selection of twin queen or king rooms.

Spa Rooms: we are excited to share our initial concept for these beautifully appointed rooms; to provide maximum guest enjoyment of the expansive outdoor areas we are removing the spas and creating an upmarket indoor/outdoor living space on the terraces including day beds. More details about this new room type will be shared shortly with rooms available for guests to enjoy from early September 2012. Spa rooms will continue to be available until 16 March 2012. Trade partners holding bookings for arrival post 16 March 2012 will be contacted shortly by either your Account Manager or a Voyages Travel Centre team member to discuss options. The new rooms will be available for guests arriving early September 2012, precise dates to be provided as soon as possible.

Deluxe Suites: these rooms remain the premium room type at Sails in the Desert. No changes have been made to the naming or configuration of these rooms. However, they have of course also been refreshed and revitalized. A true Deluxe Suite offering for our premium guests from late March 2012. Deluxe Suites refurbished by late March. Two Deluxe Suites in total inventory, both offering a King bed.

The renovation and refurbishment of the public areas at Sails in the Desert hotel have been delayed slightly, now scheduled for completion 6 September 2012. All previously advised alternative dining options will remain in place during this extended period for all in-house guests. Groups confirmed to stay during this extension period (1 August – 5 September 2012) have been contacted individually to make alternative arrangements at nearby Desert Gardens hotel. Trade partners with confirmed FIT bookings during 1 August – 5 September 2012 will be contacted by either your Account Manager or a Voyages Travel Centre team member.
