- Designed after a Scottish Baronial castle, this majestic hotel was built in 1888 in the heart of Banff National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Blending opulence and seclusion, the resort offers upscale amenities and an array of recreational activities.
- Winter activities at The Fairmont Banff Springs include cross-country skiing, ice skating, and snowshoeing. In the summer, guests can enjoy golfing, hiking, mountain biking, tennis, and horseback riding. Surrounded by mountain vistas, the on-site spa features three waterfall treatment spa tubs, an indoor European mineral pool, steam rooms, and saunas.

Located in several wings of the nine-story castle, The Fairmont Banff Springs' 770 guestrooms feature views of the forested Bow or Spray River valleys or the surrounding mountains. Windows open to fresh mountain air. Feather beds include down duvets.

Located in Banff National Park, The Fairmont Banff Springs mountain resort overlooks two scenic river valleys. In addition to the rejuvenating treatments available in the Willow Stream Spa, guests can enjoy an après-ski soak in three waterfall spa tubs. The resort also features indoor and outdoor pools, a children's pool, an 18-hole golf course, a nine-hole golf course, five tennis courts, an ice-skating rink, and a bowling center (surcharges).
The resort offers 13 restaurants and lounges including an Italian restaurant, a casual grill with mountain views, and an intimate bistro and wine bar. Room service is also available.
Scheduled shuttles (surcharge) provide transportation to Mount Norquay, Sunshine Village, and Lake Louise.

Upholstered leather seating studded with antique bronze tacks and heraldic tapestry covering Jacobean-style chairs. Tables set with fine linen, bone china, and crystal. Waldhaus RestaurantBavarian cottage-style building created as a clubhouse in 1927 on the edge of the golf course. Dark-wood paneling, large fireplace, and wine cabinet housing excellent wine selection. Authentic German and Swiss dishes. Reservations recommended. Nightly dinner; seasonal closures.
Bow Valley GrillCasual dining overlooking the Fairholme Mountain Range. Sculptures and tables constructed by local artisans featuring the region's flora and fauna. Exhibition kitchen. Buffets and à la carte dining. Sunday brunch is a specialty. Breakfast and lunch served Monday to Saturday; nightly dinner; Sunday brunch.
Castello RistoranteTraditional Italian cuisine, wines, and desserts. Reservations recommended. Open Friday to Tuesday for dinner; seasonal closures.
Waldhaus PubLocated beneath the Waldhaus dining room. Casual bar with pool table and multiple TVs. Appetizers, cheese fondue, microbrews, and beers on tap. Open Wednesday to Sunday from late afternoon to late evening; extended hours in summer months.
Samurai Sushi Bar and RestaurantAuthentic Japanese surroundings. Fresh sushi and sashimi. Japanese hot-pot dinners such as shabu-shabu, sukiyaki, and yosenabe. Dinner served Thursday to Sunday; seasonal closures.

Guests have complimentary access to the children's pool, indoor pool, year-round outdoor pool, and indoor spa tub. Within the Willow Stream Spa, the spa tubs, saunas, steam rooms, and Hungarian mineral pool are available for a surcharge.
The health club (surcharge) provides treadmills, stationary bikes, weight-training machines, stair machines, elliptical trainers, yoga mats, free weights, and other equipment. Regularly scheduled fitness classes include yoga and aerobics.
Golfers choose between the 18-hole Stanley Thompson course or the nine-hole Tunnel course. Five tennis courts are on site, with lessons and equipment rentals available. Also on site are an ice-skating rink and bowling center (surcharges). Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are available on the resort grounds in season.
In summer, walkers stroll along the banks of the Bow River to nearby Bow Falls. In winter, the snow-capped mountains offer world-class skiing and snowboarding at Mount Norquay, Sunshine Village, and Lake Louise. An independent company provides scheduled shuttle transportation (surcharge).
Other seasonal opportunities in the Banff Springs area include kayaking, scenic boat cruises, charter fishing trips, river float trips, whitewater rafting, dogsledding, horse riding, and ice fishing.
