Classic Vacations as been advised by Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac that the hotel will be going through a multi-million dollar renovation project in 2013 which will include guestrooms, main lobby, banquet areas, health club and restaurants. The various projects will be carried out in different phases between April 2013 and early 2014. Special care and extra efforts will be devoted in order to minimize the inconvenience, visual impact and noise-related nuisance for clients during the renovations.
Starting in July 2013, the hotel will be 100% non-smoking; Roof work will be done between April and August 2013. Guestrooms renovations start in April 2013 and completed section by section with minimal impact to the guest experience. Between August and December 2013, the lobby will be under renovations. The Bar St-Laurent and restaurant Le Champlain will be closed between June and November 2013, but the restaurant ‘Le Café de la Terrasse’ will remain open during that period. The Gym and new spa will be under renovation from April 2013 to mid-September 2013. During this project, the hotel will have alternate locations for the gym and Spa services. Lower level area (current shops) is scheduled to be under renovation during spring 2013 and will be inaccessible to guests (Café de la Terrasse & Starbucks will remain open). Fairmont Gold rooms and Lounge are planned to be renovated early 2014. Please note that dates and information can changes at any time as this exciting project evolves.
