Colony Club Hotel
Based ontraveler reviews
- Early mornings and early evenings, green vervet monkeys, whose ancestors were brought from Africa by settlers, swing through tall trees along a slough at the hotel's southern boundary.
What to Expect:
- Restored and enlarged, this former private club is secluded at the end of a long driveway lined by casuarina trees. The Colony Club Hotel attracts couples and families with older children seeking beach vacations that combine tranquil sunbathing with water sports. Children under age 12 are not permitted during February.
- Thickly cushioned lounge chairs cosset sunbathers along the hotel's beachfront and around four narrow, rock-lined, freeform pools—one with swim-up bar—in a central garden courtyard. Complimentary water sports include snorkeling excursions, boat cruises, water skiing, tubing, and banana-boating, as well as snorkeling gear, kayaks, sailboats, boogie boards, and windsurfers.
