What to Expect:

Adjacent to a seafaring-style tavern, a wall festooned with the names of longtime guests attests to the Cambridge Beaches Resort and Spa's capacity to inspire loyalty. Widely spaced on the 30-acre peninsula and separated by lawns and flowering gardens, guest cottages occupy rolling terrain, forming a pink-and-white community under coconut palms and ancient Flamboyant trees. The open Atlantic Ocean borders the resort's north side, and Mangrove Bay borders its south side. Children under the age of five are not permitted.

Amenity Highlights:

Thatch shades and lounge chairs dot the surrounding beaches. Long Bay Café offers lunch and tropical drinks. Other amenities include two pools, an indoor pool with retractable skylight roof, and health-and-beauty spa. There is also a heated, 450-square-foot outdoor pool, and a large sundeck is furnished with lounge chairs and umbrellas. A poolside bar is offered as well. Steps lead from the pool deck to Morning Beach on Mangrove Bay.

The Cambridge Beaches Resort and Spa offers 94 guestrooms and suites in one- and two-story pink-and-white cottages scattered over a 30-acre peninsula on Bermuda's west side. Some cottages are available only as complete units. One cottage dates from the late 17th century. Others date from the early 1800s when they housed workers for the British Royal Naval Dockyard about three miles north. These still bear the names of their last residents. Some cottages began being used for guests in the 1920s, and the resort grew by buying other cottages over the decades. Now, all buildings on the peninsula are part of the resort. All rooms, suites, and cottages are air-conditioned and also include ceiling fans as a cooling alternative. Ground-floor patios or second-floor balconies come furnished with lounge chairs and dining sets. CD player/AM-FM radios as well as televisions with U.S. cable channels and pay movies offer entertainment.

Pool Suite -
There are 3 different Pool Suite Cottages offered at the property. North Rock cottage, Bay Grapes cottage, and Sunset Pool cottage sit overlooking one of the best ocean views in Bermuda and includes a bedroom, sitting area, spacious dressing room and state-of-the-art flat screen television and sound system. A luxurious bathroom features a whirlpool tub under a picture window affording spectacular views, a shower with six separate showerheads and its own sound system. The private plunge pool, features an infinity edge, allowing guests to gaze directly out to sea and enjoy inspiring vistas and incredible sunsets from their own private cottage.
Windswept -
A lovely cottage home with spectacular views of the ocean, located on the bluff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean on one side of Mangrove Bay on the other, offering two bedrooms with dressing areas, large living room with fireplace, brick patio and garden.
Pegem -
A 300 year old house overlooking Mangrove Bay, offering two bedrooms with dressing areas, living room with fireplace, small den, sun porch, large dining room a kitchen and two private gardens.
Allspice -
A lovely large garden view cottage with two bedrooms, living room with fireplace and kitchen.
Deluxe Premium -
These are spacious bedrooms with traditional or contemporary decor, that include a sitting and dressing area, plus a larger, luxurious marble bathroom, some with glass-enclosed showers and separate whirlpool tubs. All of the Deluxe Premium rooms offer a lovely water view and some can connect with other rooms.
Cambridge Suite -
Cambridge Suites offer wonderful water views (some up close and others from a greater distance) and their own patio or terrace. The interior includes a large bedroom with separate dressing area, plus a separate living room decorated in a contemporary or traditional style. The marble bathroom has a spacious whirlpool tub and can also include glass showers.
Deluxe -
These are spacious bedrooms with sitting and dressing area, traditional decor, a marble bathroom with whirlpool tub, and a private terrace or patio that offers a lush garden or lovely water view.
Suite -
Suites have a large bedroom with a separate dressing area and a separate living room, all of which are furnished with antiques and comfortable furniture. Most are decorated in traditional, colorful chintzs. A private patio offers either a water or garden view. The marble bathroom boasts a spacious whirlpool tub. A king size bed can be separated into two twin beds upon request. Suites can accommodate 2-4 people.
Water View -
Our standard water view bedroom is decorated with colorful fabrics and comfortable furnishings, includes a marble bathroom, and offers a private terrace or patio with enjoyable water views.

The Cambridge Beaches Resort's health-and-beauty spa features a 30-by-15-foot indoor pool under a retractable skylight roof, an adjacent swim-against-current exercise pool, and an eight-person spa, all included for a daily fee. The spa also includes a fitness center equipped with cardio machines, a universal gym, and free weights; a relaxation lounge; and sauna and steam room. Available at the spa are massage, hydrotherapy, body treatments, and facials, in addition to waxing and hair and nail care. Massage options include Swedish, deep-tissue, and relaxation. Hydrotherapy choices include Vichy-shower massage. Body treatments include ocean-mud bath and skin-peel polish. Facials include Les Aromatics French treatments.Ground transportation:

The Tamarisk Room
Overlooking Mangrove Bay. Peaked ceiling with pale-wood beams, pink walls. Also terrace seating under white canopy and umbrellas. Buffet and á la carte breakfasts. Lunch of sandwiches, salads, light dishes. Five-course dinners with new menu daily and choices such as grilled-vegetable terrine, fish chowder, salad, lamb loin, and dessert. Live music some nights. Dinner dress code: jackets for men.
Long Bay Café
Two open-air, weathered-wood pavilions with white canvas roofs, wood floors, yellow linens, ceiling fans overlooking open ocean. Salads, sandwiches, tropical drinks, and lunch specials such as broiled lobster, grilled fish. Casual beach-barbecue buffet dinners three times weekly.
Port O'Call
Black-timbered seafarers'-type tavern inside and covered-veranda seating outside overlooking Mangrove Bay. Live music for open-air dancing most nights. Complimentary rum-swizzle party Monday nights.
Main House Lobby
Afternoon tea daily in room with upholstered floral seating, fireplace, half-timbered ceiling.

Recreation

The Cambridge Beaches Resort and Spa includes three hard-surface tennis courts, a croquet lawn, and a putting green, with play on all complimentary for guests. For a fee, the resort's unique underwater-viewing boat, which is equipped with glass cage suspended from the bottom, takes guests to a shipwreck off a point about a mile away to view fish. At the resort's marina, guests can rent motorboats, various sailboats, Jet Skis, kayaks, windsurfers, and snorkeling and fishing gear. Jet Ski tours are also available. Bicycles and motor scooters can be rented at the resort.
