- A quarter-mile path leads from the hotel to Bermuda's signature Gibbs Hill Lighthouse, which has an observation platform 185 steps up that overlooks the 22-mile-long island and the turquoise-and-blue Atlantic surrounding it.
What to Expect:
- Bermuda's premier luxury resort has two golf courses, private tennis and beach clubs, diving and water sports, and the Willow Stream Spa. Each room was newly refurbished in 2004 in a warm Bermudian pastel decor, an upgraded marble bathroom, walk-in closet and French glass doors leading onto a private balcony with table and chairs. Willow Stream, this Bermuda resort's 31,000-square-foot health-and-beauty spa, features a heated 75-by-30-foot indoor pool under an arched bleached-wood ceiling that's available exclusively to spa patrons for most of the day. (All guests enjoy complimentary access to the pool after 6:30 PM.) Thickly cushioned lounge chairs surround the pool. Soothing music and a triple marble waterfall spilling from a rock garden promote relaxation. Outside the pool enclosure, two large decks also furnished with cushioned lounge chairs provide relaxation, panoramic ocean views, and starlit tranquility after dark. Memo to the guests of The Fairmont Southampton
Classic Vacations has been advised by the Fairmont Southampton effective immediately the ferry service between the Fairmont Southampton and Fairmont Hamilton Princess will cease to operate. Guests of the Fairmont Hamilton Princess will no longer have access to the Fairmont Southampton ferry service for transportation to the South Shore.
The daily ferry service will now be exclusive to Fairmont Southampton guests and will operate from the Fairmont Southampton dock to Albuoy’s Point in downtown Hamilton. Albuoy’s Point dock is right across the street from The Irish Linen Shop and The Island Shop on Front Street. This change will bring guests right into the heart of Hamilton’s boutique shopping, dining and entertainment. Guests of Fairmont Southampton and Fairmont Hamilton Princess will continue to enjoy signing privileges between the two resorts.
In addition, also effective immediately the Resort Levy at the Fairmont Southampton will be changing to 12 dollars per person, per day, plus tax.
