The casual Caves All-Inclusive resort attracts an international clientele, including celebrities, by providing seclusion for guests (who must be age 16 or older)
This boutique property offers a maximum capacity 24 guests as such is an ideal getaway for those looking for a secluded retreat. Handcrafted wood and stone thatch-roofed cottages are interwoven between two acres of lush vegetation and sea caves, most with sea views.
The Caves is perched above Negril's volcanic formed caves overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The walls of the cliffs feature a series of grottos with ancients fossilized marine life for guests to explore. Below the caves, the water plunges down to depths of and a tropical reef system comes right up the edge of the cliff, perfect for snorkeling. An arrangement of coral stairs and walkways lead to sun decks and grottos.
Narrow stone paths lead through the resort's jungle-like grounds which are abloom with tropical flowers. Other stone paths lead down cliff faces toward the sea, where guests climb down ladders into the Caribbean Sea or leap into the turquoise-and-emerald water from two points, one approximately 7.5m (24.6 ft) high and the other 6m (19.6ft).
Once in the water, guests can explore two grotto-like caves containing marine fossils. (Dry-land paths/staircases also lead into the caves.) One cave ends in a blowhole within the resort's grounds. At the top of the blowhole is a leap-off platform approximately 4.5m (14.8ft) above the water. The blowhole is lighted at night, and there's a concrete bench beside the blowhole.
The Caves Aveda Concept provides massage and spa treatments (surcharges) in an open-air, cliff top gazebo with a thatched roof, 2 beds, and a sea view. A small building nearby contains a sauna with 2 beds, a terry-cloth covered dressing bench, and bathrobes. Toward the other end of The Caves is a candlelit grotto-like room built into a cliff that contains a 4-person jetted tub, a batik covered bench, and a window that offers a sunset view. Both sauna and jetted tub may be reserved for privacy.
