Memo to the guests of the Turtle Bay Resort & Ocean Villas
Classic Vacations has been advised by Turtle Bay Resort of a new project that will complement their ongoing multi-million dollar guest room, suites and hallways enhancements scheduled to be completed by the end of this year. A major focus of these recent projects has been to identify ways for conserving Oahu’s natural resources. At this time, the Resort will be implementing a 59,000-square-foot landscaped native plant and rock garden on all lower rooftops of the hotel. This is an effort that will enhance views, double the lifespan of the roofing materials to two decades, and lower energy use. This Green Top project will be isolated to one roof at a time and machinery will be used to expedite the process. The project requires scaffolding to be erected as part of the process. The hotel management does not expect the scaffolding or work to obstruct any views from the guest rooms. All noisy work will be done between the hours of 9am – 5pm, Monday through Friday, and workers will be visible on 2nd floor rooftops. This project began Monday, August 26, 2013 and is expected to take until early 2014 to complete.
