Travel Specialities
Europe is my favorite destination for culture and history: I've eaten scones in Great Britain, biked Count Mayo in Ireland, strolled the Seine in Paris, traveled by rail in Italy, navigated up the Rhine River in Germany, and cruised Amserdam's canals. My favorite scenic destination is New Zealand. For romance, nothing beats Tahiti. The dry desert surrounding Los Cabos, and colorful reefs around Cozumel, are magical places in Mexico. Hawaii is the perfect, no-passport-required West-coast getaway. Biking around the Big Island's volcano and relaxing on Maui's Polo Beach are some of my favorite vacation moments.
