Bauer Hotel, Venice

November 9, 2012

General: The Bauer Hotel Venice successfully combines traditional Venice with a flair of contemporary nuances that will appeal to guests seeking a classic feel, or a more “new age” resort atmosphere. Original art-deco and Venetian textiles throughout the hotel, with spacious rooms, spiral staircase and well selected lighting make a very welcoming Hotel that even the discerning travelers will appreciate. Located on Campo San Moise and just a five-minute walk to St. Mark’s Square, The Bauer is a perfect, central location for site seeing, shopping, or those looking for their next great meal, or of course cappuccino!

Pros: As mentioned above, The Bauer is in an ideal location for guests staying in Venice, especially guests looking for the most elegant shops in Venice! The Bauer is also known as a true Deluxe property with a focus on top-notch service striving to be the best in Venice.

Cons: Hotel is fairly large for Venice Hotel standards, and when busy it can be noticed. Though service is outstanding, The Bauer may not be the best choice for guests looking for more seclusion.

Overall: The Bauer Hotel was one of my favorite properties in Venice, quality service at a luxury resort, some amazing views of the Grand Canal and fabulous dining options. The Hotel and the rooms all offer traditional décor, but not over the top while offering a touch of contemporary styling to appeal to guests of all ranges. My favorite area of the hotel was the Terrace of ‘De Pisis’ restaurant which offers an amazing view and is the perfect place to unwind.
