Blackcomb Mountain Sightseeing
June 15, 2012

The famous “Peak to Peak” gondola that traverses the valley between Blackcomb and Whistler mountains was closed for maintenance during our visit.
Instead, we rode the “Wizard Chair” ski lift (actually, two ski lifts!) to the top of Blackcomb Mountain for a little sightseeing.
Skiers and snowboarders were still active during our visit on May 3, but elsewhere on the mountain, Bobcats were busy digging out bike trails for the upcoming summer season.
Fine dining is available at the top of the mountain. The mountain claims to be North America’s No. 1 rated ski resort, and hosted the 2010 Olympic and Paralympics Winter Games.
