Located on the Grand Canal of Venice this 16th century palace has some of the best views of the canal. Hotel Gritti was built in 1525 as a residence of Doge Andrea Gritti.

The rooms are full of details with Murano Glass chandeliers, marble tiles, and original gold-trimmed ceilings. There are 7 different style rooms anywhere from 225 square feet to 1130 and 50% of the hotel’s rooms connect. The presidential suite can connect to 4 different rooms to become one huge suite that takes up the whole corner on the first floor. There are 15 lagoon view rooms with the best views and soft renovations are done every three years to ensure the hotel is always in tip-top shape.

A free shuttle is available to take guests to nearby Lido Beach. In the summer you can request to rent cabanas. Shopping is right nearby! In either direction there are many vendors offering Murano glass and beautiful decorated masks and a great bargain on scarves so stock up if planning on a trip to Venice.
