Fiesta Time!

February 13, 2013

Visit Madrid in mid-May, and you'll be just in time to participate in the annual Fiesta de San Isidro, one of the city's largest annual festivals (and named after Madrid's patron saint). Over the course of several days, you'll have the chance to indulge in a bonanza of concerts, parades, plays, art exhibits, and more. The entire city comes to life during this period, and is packed with a never-ending variety of new experiences for a world traveler. View stunning artwork and sip succulent sangria, take in a bullfight, or sate your taste buds with an array of tapas after a day of enjoying traditional Spanish music. You'll be hard-pressed to get a taste of everything this festival has to offer, but you'll be ecstatic that you had the occasion to be in Madrid while it was underway.
