Friendly staff, relaxing resort
September 30, 2011
I stayed at Blue Waters for next four nights and had a nice time here. This is a small intimate resort. The rooms were nice but small compared to the Verandah. We had a beachfront room and wow was the view awesome!!!
Again, the beach was fantastic and they also had several non motorized watersports things to choose from. It is not in a protected cove like the Verandah, the currents were strong. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The three pools were very tiny and there was only one bar opened at a time. There was not entertainment here at all. No live band, no casino, not even any music around the pools or beach. It was pretty much a resort where you simply relax.
I would say this is not the best place for children as there isn’t really anything for them to do here. There was a wedding on property out on the point right over the water in an open air gazebo which was so beautiful. Oh, and I walked out to the rock cottage since it was not occupied and it is huge with two separate buildings with living areas, a private pool, huge deck with bbq grills, and right over the water. The interior décor wasn’t what you would call fancy but was very nicely done. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and found it to be very relaxing.
