The Gathering of The Kings Luau located at The Fairmont Orchid is one of the few Luaus on Big Island. Gathering of the Kings is a story of the Polynesian People’s journey from South Pacific to Hawaii. The luau is made up of four different cuisines from four specific South Pacific Destinations: New Zealand, Samoa, Tahiti, and Hawaii. Each buffet station features cuisine from that part of the world; the Hawaii table offers kalua pork and other traditional dishes! There are many vegetarian dishes available as well!

The luau begins around 6pm and finishes at 8pm. The location of the luau is set amongst the ocean and hotel gardens. This luau is very theatrical. Performers wear elaborate costumes and mingle modern dance with Polynesian moves.
