I really loved this place. The Four Seasons Florence has 2 main buildings and it’s away from all the hustle and bustle of the main city. It is about a 10 to 15 minute walk to the center of Florence and historic sites. If you want to be away from it all but still enjoying the finest of hotels, this is the one.
It did undergo seven years of renovation to become the new Four Seasons Hotel and sits on its own private 11 acre park setting, beautiful lush gardens. When we visited the Four Seasons it was fall so the grounds were in beautiful fall colors.
Four Seasons Hotel offers 116 guest rooms and suites that are very large and have lots of sunlight. The paintings on the ceilings in the rooms were so beautiful; that is the first thing that caught my eye.
The swimming pool is very large, it has a nice outdoor Jacuzzi connected to it that sits between the two buildings right outside the spa. The pool is closed in the winter months and they also close down the back building in the winter due to low occupancy. However, this is the only hotel in the heart of Florence with an on-site spa. This huge 8,500 square-foot spa offers treatments in ten luxury rooms. In between treatments, guests have full access to relaxation lounges and the outdoor pool and whirlpools. They also offer a large gym in adjacent building that can be reached from an underground walk way without going outside.
I think families would enjoy the park setting, couples would love it here. I would send almost any of our clients here for a least a couple of days to unwind.
