A great option for families

St. James Club is located about 45 minutes from the airport. They are located on Antigua’s East Coast, so their beach is on the Atlantic - which may not be what clients expect when visiting the Caribbean; so, be careful. Plenty of activity goes on at this hotel which has two beaches (one is good for swimming) and four pools. There’s four restaurants on property, one of them is fine dining (Piccolo Mondo). The food was probably the best out of the other four star properties we ate at. There’s also a bar which is open until 2am, which hosts live music, so there’s definitely entertainment in the evenings. There is a harbor here as well, and the hotel does have a catamaran which offers sunset cruises ($50pp).

The resort is very large and spread out. The nicest rooms are the Royal Suites (Junior Suite- no separate bedroom) which are the newest and have the most sophisticated décor. These are also located right by the water but not beachfront. There is a boardwalk that fronts the part of the ocean with no beach so it’s a really nice walk-able property. However, it is spread out enough that the resort does provide shuttle service around the property. The Club, Premium and Beachfront rooms, have similar décor to that of the 2B Villas, which have brighter colors and floral patterns. This is a great option for families and extended families as there are a wide variety of accommodations from single rooms to 2B villas.
