Greek Archaeology

March 19, 2013

A guided tour of the Archaeological Museum in Hania, Crete, will give you some in-depth insight into the ancient Greek and Minoan cultures of the island. Built in an old Venetian monastery, your tour will begin in the ancient past, with artifacts from the 15th century BCE. From there you'll move forward to Greek times, and see a floor mosaic with images of the Greek gods upon it. The Roman era is also represented in sculpture and other artifacts, including a bust of emperor Hadrian. This expedition through days gone by will leave you in wonder of the lives and accomplishments of the ancient civilizations, and will linger in your memory long after you've returned home.
