Hip property on Via Veneto

October 4, 2011

Before you even enter the front door, the ambiance around the Hotel Majestic gives the guest an awesome feel. Located conveniently on Via Veneto, between the Villa Borghese and the Spanish Steps, this property meshes traditional decorations, loud but regal color schemes and antique furnishings with an international contemporary flair. Visited by the likes of Bill Gates, Whitney Houston and Bob Dylan (…trust me I know, I saw them there) this stunning, surprisingly hip property, offers the best of both worlds. Starting with the 17th century, cast iron elevator that hangs from the ceiling in the lobby, guests are escorted through hallways lined with black and white photos of events that stood out in each of the appropriate year since the hotel has opened (…but none from 1972.)

The bright red carpet leads guests to large, high-end, brilliantly decorated guestrooms and suites that blend modern amenities with antique arrangements. The open air kitchen allows guests the opportunity to watch Filippo La Mantia, create new ideas and concepts focusing on ancient home cooked Italian meals. You will feel as if you are in lofty company as you have a drink or enjoy h'orderves at the fashionable tavern before hitting the town; this property will make you feel as if that is a necessity! For ultra high-end clients, don‟t forget to recommend the Via Veneto Suite that provides the utmost privacy, on the Via Veneto, if they decide to dine al Fresco or take a dip in the roof top spa it boasts.

Overall, I think this was one of my favorite properties in Rome. The nostalgia, impressive accommodation, dining options, internal/external feel, and proximity to various points of interest, make The Hotel Majstic standout. It is not OVERLY expensive and will certainly add to the clients overall experience. I would highly recommend this property for clients looking to visit the Eternal City!
