Palazzo Sasso in Ravello, perched 1000 feet above the Gulf of Salerno, 20 minutes from the crowded Positano, this hotel is my heaven on earth.  My time here included: my first 8-course meal at the two-star Michelin restaurant on property, “Rossellini’s,”  (I now know what an amuse-bouche is!) followed by a very much needed hike the next morning down the cobblestone walkways leading to the sea, passing small vineyards, every turn offering a new sight to gush over, lounging at “Sasso by the Sea” an intimate beach club, and pinching myself frequently while enjoying the intense views during the well-spread breakfast.

INSIDER TIP - Rooms 1, 201, 204, and 301 have the best views.
