Mykonos Town

March 14, 2013

The next time you're in Mykonos, take a tour of Mykonos town and discover its unique combination of charm and history. You'll start the day with a walking tour of the island's landmark windmills, built in the 1500s by the Venetians. No longer used for their original purpose of milling grain, they remain a dominant piece of the skyline in Mykonos town. Afterward, your private guide will conduct you through the Little Venice area of town, where you'll stop for lunch amidst structures built up to (and in some cases, over) the waterfront. Finally, you'll cap off your experience by visiting the local archeological museum, to gain knowledge of the area's history and admire the stunning collection of sculpture, jewels, and ancient ceramics.
