Next time you're in Berlin, take a guided tour of the Reichstag, home of the German Parliament. An historic building, the Reichstag was renovated in the late 1990s, and now sports a stunning glass cupola in the center of the building, giving an airy and open feel to then entire building and a spectacular 360-degree view of the surrounding cityscape. Beyond the amazing architecture, your tour guide will also teach you about the building's history, from its construction in the late 1800s, to the fire in the 1930s that preceded Hitler's rise to power, to the Soviet army raising its flag over the building in 1945 to signify their taking of Berlin. Your visit will be complete with a trip to the rooftop restaurant, where you'll dine on sumptuous food while taking in the city laid out before your eyes.
