Review: The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua (Maui)
October 21, 2011

You know you're in good hands at the Ritz-Carlton. And the Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua is no exception. Situated in the western edge of Maui, the RC Kapalua upholds the brand's attentive service and elegance.
Fun Fact: The property is built alongside an ancient Hawaiian burial ground!
I stayed in a 2-bedroom suite and loved the spaciousness, elements of Hawaiian decor weaved throughout the room, and hardwood floors (which are a big plus in my book)! Every suite has hardwood floors, partial kitchen, dining areas, lanai, and of course the standard room amenities.
I was also lucky enough to try The Banyan Tree, one of RC Kapalua's three premier restaurants. The chef is JoJo Vasquez, who prepared an ahhh-mazing 3 course meal which included one of the best filet mignon I've ever had. Not only that, but Chef Vasquez also competed against Morimoto in Iron Chef!
The only downside (if you can even call it that), is that it can get extremely windy here. So hold on tight to your hats!
