Scandinave Spa, Whistler
June 15, 2012

This outdoor spa, spread over three acres, features a series of seven hot and cold hydrotherapy pools and relaxation rooms that cascade down a natural slope. These public rooms and pools are co-ed, but there are separate men's and women's locker rooms with showers, blow driers, etc. Quiet is mandatory to contribute to the feeling of peace and relaxation, yet our group managed to sample the hot pools, Nordic plunges, steam and dry sauna rooms without being reprimanded by the “shushers” we were told police the grounds. Certified massage therapists are available by appointment; the minimum reservation is 60 minutes. This would be a great place to relax and rejuvenate after a day of skiing and sightseeing. Recommend clients plan on spending three or four hours: the 1.5 hours we had for the experience felt rushed.
