We were picked up from our hotel and taken to the pier of Vancouver and escorted to the lounge, where if you book a chartered float plane, your clients will enjoy complimentary coffee, tea , water and donuts. They do have a washroom and free newspapers to read too, very elegant for our clients.
We were then taken to our plane for departure to Victoria. It seats 10 people and is very tight inside. This is not for the handicapped or elderly who are not fit – the opening to the door was VERY small. There is limited space inside the aircraft. This is why the luggage is limited to 40lbs per person.
The flight itself took about 30 minutes to Victoria, and what a beautiful trip. I was able to see all the Islands and some of the most expensive mansions below. We were pretty special that day, since the pilot dropped us off at Butchart Gardens for our tour. Usually you are dropped off at the pier, then you would take a transfer to the gardens. I was so excited: the pilot, Bill, let me sit in the cockpit and experience the front seat. This is a very nice way to travel to Victoria.
