General: A short Ferry ride from Port Denarau, followed by a “wet landing”, Staff greets guests on the beach upon arrival and escorts them to the seating area next to the bar. Guests are welcomed by a cold fruit beverage, and are given check in paperwork and general resort information. What stands out most about Matamanoa is their new treetop spa. Unique for its destination, offers good spa services overlooking beautiful Fiji waters. Matamanoa has a young clientele which seems to be viewed as more of an upbeat, party type of resort. Perfect for friends, or couples traveling together.

Pros: Stands out as one of the only options for adult only couples traveling together in Fiji. Many fun options for clients who want to be active, or who just want to enjoy the beach. Great snorkel and scuba options at this resort.

Cons: Landscaping seems very basic. Rooms are nice, but have short entries and doorways, not ideal for taller clients. Somewhat of a party type atmosphere can be a Pro or a Con, depending on the clients.

Overall: Some things I liked very much, like the spa, pool, activities and overall accommodations. But there were minor things that left a mixed feeling like the height of some of the rooms, the landscaping that could be better. But I will say that it’s the best place for clients who really want to have a good time!
