Destination Updates

Courtesy calls are being made at this time for bookings expected to travel in the next 2-3 weeks.  

Currently – Hurricane Melissa has weakened to a post-tropical cyclone and is moving away from the Caribbean. Weather conditions in Jamaica are steadily improving as recovery efforts progress across the island. Airports and major roadways are reopening, and many resort areas are beginning to restore normal operations. 

Communication with Jamaica remains to be limited, with parts of Jamaica still without power, please be patient as we receive details we will share and update natural disaster form appropriately.

Delta Air Lines 

  • Travel Exception Policy 
    • Delta Air Lines is extending its waiver to assist customers who may be impacted by the infrastructure impact caused by Hurricane Melissa in Montego Bay. 
    • Exception Policy Overview 
      • Delta is offering an exception for any customer with tickets issued on or before November 04, 2025, with impacted travel dates between October 25, 2025, and December 18, 2025. For these customers, Delta is allowing refunds for wholly unused or partially used tickets. Travel agents must document the PNR with the OSI and may issue a refund for tickets that are wholly unused but must contact Delta to refund partially used tickets.

United Airlines 

  • Permitted Changes 
    • Change fee and fare difference waived for new flights operated by United/United Express that depart between 7 days prior to – 7 days after the original travel date for originally ticketed cabin (any fare class) and cities. 
    • For wholly rescheduled travel departing after January 31, 2026, or a change of departure or destination city, the change fee will be waived, but a difference in fare may apply. 
    • Rescheduled travel must begin within ticket validity permitted by the original ticket-issue date. 
  • Refund – Travel agents can self-refund unused coupons/tickets by adding OSI UA TRAVELWAIVERREFUND to the PNR.

     

American Airlines

  • New Travel Dates:    October 30 – November 14, 2025

  • Due to the unfortunate destruction Hurricane Melissa has caused to Jamaica, we would like to help your clients being displacedWe will offer a displaced traveler rate and match the booking at either Kimpton Seafire or Hotel Indigo depending on the nightly rate they currently have bookedWe will also pass through any amenities or breakfast as neededIf clients are booked at an All-Inclusive property, we are working on a food and beverage package to add on as wellThis is valid for any canceled Jamaica bookings displaced for travel through end of January.
