Traveler Reviews

We had a fun trip in November on the kunanyi/Mt Wellington Explorer Bus. Dave was our driver for the trip and he kept us entertained throughout the trip with his tour guiding and stories. Thank you Dave for going that extra to keep us entertained!

This was the perfect activity to do before flying out of Hobart in the afternoon. Christian, our guide and driver, was very knowledgeable and shared lots of historical information and facts about wildlife found on the mountain. We stopped about half way up at The Springs where we went to a lookout. It was a great place to get your bearings. At the top of the mountain it was extremely windy (gusts of 128km/h and a ‘feels like’ temperature of -12°C, so make sure you’re prepared with warm clothes (and steady feet!).

Such a good experience and our driver Greg was amazing at explaining every thing to us. Totally recommend this tour. It was beautiful

As we had limited time in Hobart, we booked the 2 hour Mt Wellington Explorer. And I'm glad we did. it was a wonderful tour and was the perfect way to see Mt Wellington. Our tour guide, Greg was knowledgeable and humorous and kept us constantly informed. The mountain peak and the scenery was amazing and I wish we could have stayed there longer. All in all, a most enjoyable tour.

This is a great way to see Mt Wellington if you don’t have a car & the hop on hop off service is ideal if you have more time & wish to spend a day walking some of the trails. Interesting commentary & as I was the only one booked on the 2hr loop, it was very much appreciated that I was able to do this must see attraction in Hobart.
