Overview
ItineraryYou will meet at the Goat Island Dive and Snorkel Center. Here, our friendly staff will get you kitted up with a mask, snorkel, fins and a wetsuitYou will then drive in your own vehicle 3km to the Goat Island Marine Reserve. Here you will meet with your Snorkel Instructor.The experience starts with an introduction to using the equipment and some snorkel techniques and basic learning to swim. We share the history of Goat Island and introduce you to the marine life you are likely to meet at New Zealand's first marine reserve. Before jumping in you'll receive a full, thorough safety briefing.We'll all make our way to the water, and finalize our equipment. We will stay shallow and get used to the equipment and the strange sensation of breathing while looking underwater! Once everyone is feeling confident and comfortable we will make our way out and continue our adventure.After the tour you will be able to use the equipment for the remainder of the day and carry on exploring!Please allow 2.5 hours for your tour this will include getting your gear, briefings and time in the water.Stop At: • Goat Island Marine Reserve, Goat Island Road Leigh, Warkworth, Auckland New Zealand

Took my 6 year old granddaughter for her birthday treat. It was a wonderful day, and she coped really well. On the way home, she commented that it had been the best day of her life.

The guide was very nice and informative, she took us on tour for about an hour, such a fun experience! We all had a great time :)

It was an awesome experience. I had 3 kids with me(only 1 was water confident. Younger kids were reluctant to go into the water with all the gears, however Mia and her colleague has done amazing job in handling little kids. They ensured that even younger kids enjoy their experience. Staff was amazing and I would love to visit again. This is a small thank you note Mia(if you see) for your hard work and making our trip a memorable trip.

My kids enjoyed the snorkeling, but I and my wife did not. I think one needs a bit of swimming or floating technique under one's belt before one can venture to do snorkeling and I wish I was told that, rather than just been told - you don't need to know how to swim. I did end up paying for us two adults without us doing the activity.

Maia is my guide. She is very helpful and nice. I learnt a lot from her. And she took a good picture for me! Would come again with my wife and kid.
