The pick up to drop off was great. Mario and team were all so kind and helpful. They explained everything very clearly my hike on the island was fantastic with John being able to explore and see the secret areas and then just walk through nature was fantastic. I didn't see the donkeys do I may need to go back.?? I ended up jumping in for a lil snorkeling at the end also!!

Swiss divers assoc. Was great! They do it all!

Un excelente plan para disfrutar el paisaje y tomar buenas fotografías Es interesante la guía porque te cuenta del lugar, su historia y de la fauna y flora.

The meeting point for this activity is in an old, semi-abandoned hotel in the neighborhood of old Acapulco. The SDA rents a sea-facing office suite at the bottom floor of Hotel Caleta. Hotel Caleta is worth exploring while you wait for other tour guests to arrive or after you finish your hike. Isla Roqueta is an easy 15 minute boat ride from Acapulco. I went with a family that would scuba dive during my hike. Negro was my wonderful and friendly bilingual tour guide and took me to several lookout points - 2 were small beaches and others were lookout points, including the lighthouse (on a naval base - permission needed to enter). I had great morning learning about Acapulco, Isla Roqueta, and Mexico with Negro. Some parts of the hike are a little steeper than others, but the trails are clear and guests can climb well with sneakers. Negro was very polite and offered to carry my backpack a few times during the hike. You will not run out of conversation topics with him! The tour pr

I was picked up at the cruse port and driven over to the Swiss Divers Association located on the grounds of the former Caleta hotel that must have been the place to be in Acapulco during its heyday in the 30s. We were dropped off on Roqueta Island by some others that were on their way for a day diving. We took hiked up to the lighthouse where there were good views of the back and the whole expanse of the city of Acapulco. The Island it going kind of wild but the paths were easy to follow and we waked all over the small island. There were many places to look out and see beautiful natural views. We stopped at a very nice secluded beach to cool down near the end we stopped at a local restaurant where I had a Corona, but could have had lunch as well. We were picked up by the dive boat and went back to the mainland. It seems that the Caleta hotel has been abandon. I walked around the hotel a little before we went back to our respective hotels and cruise ship, and still imaging the glamor o
