Your lunch starts with a cruise aboard the historic TSS Earnslaw across to Walter Peak High Country Farm. Once there, you can sit back on the lakeside terrace of the Colonel’s Homestead Restaurant and savor the delicious aromas as our chef has the best of local produce, sizzling away on the grill. Our lunch menu has been refreshed with the introduction of our new executive chef, so you'll have a plenty to choose from our seasonal menu - salads, vegetables, succulent meat cooked on the outdoor rotisserie or grill. If you’re vegetarian, don’t worry, you are well catered for too. Then finish your meal with a scrumptious dessert. After your lunch, you can join an entertaining farm demonstration or explore the beautiful lakeside gardens. Please note: The TSS Earnslaw will be on survey 02 June – 15 July 2018 and the TSS Earnslaw will NOT be operating. During this period travel to and from Walter Peak is by launch and the lower price reflects this change.

We have visited Queenstown before and watched the stately old boat go out and thought it was a bit staid and maybe a bit boring compared to all the adventure available. Boy we were wrong. The boat trip was beautiful and well worth it seeing Queenstown from the lake. But the lunch provided at the Sheep Station was epic. The setting is wonderful, the gardens are gorgeous, the farm shop is well stocked and full of bargains but the food. wow wow wow. Great selection loads of it and the staff are wonderful, taking photos and generally ensuring that you enjoy the experience. The sticky toffee pudding is worth swimming across the lake for. Need I say more.

Best buffet lunch EVER. Wonderful waiting staff. Whole experience was wonderful. Only minor improvement could be better directions or signage to the farm show. But overall still 10/10

The Earnslaw Journey was a memorable experience with excellent explanations of features along the way, excellent table service for refreshments and a very good musical duo to entertain.
The undoubted highlight for us was the Walter Peak High Country Farm BBQ lunch, which we gave 10 out of 10. The salads, choices of meats, cheeses and biscuits, and well the desserts were something else particularly for us the sticky date pudding and chocolate mousse. I made enquiries re the chef as the food was outstanding, and was told the chef is Italian, and has been there for something like 10 years. The table service because of Covid was first class also.
Highly recommend this experience and even 20% discount for us pensioners.

The whole experience on the Earnslaw and Buffet Lunch was just wonderful would for sure do it again. It's a must do

AMAZING ! This was highly recommended by so many locals and was not something we had planned but it ended up being a highlight. Stunning boat ride and then the most beautiful lunch at Walter Peak - HUGE shout out to our server Angel, she gave us the most amazing service, polite, prompt and so helpful. Love love loved it all. Don't hesitate to book just do it !
