WOW! WOW! WOW! What a Gem Williams tour company is! We stumbled upon Williams tour company while researching tours for Barbados (a port on our cruise). After reading the reviews, we had narrowed it down to we wanted to tour Harrison’s Cave and Hunte’s Gardens. After a little further searching, we found Williams tours and we are soooooooo glad we found them. Our tour guide Scott was extremely knowledgeable and added personal touches that just made the experience so much more memorable. On the way to Harrison’s cave, We visited a local pottery shop (Earth Works) where we could see local artists making beautiful pottery and purchase some if we wished. Harrison’s cave was spectacular - amazing formations! Then, the absolute best part of the day, Hunte’s gardens! Scott accompanied us on the tour and was so knowledgeable about the plants, not only did we experience the gardens through our eyes but also through touch and smell. It was absolutely amazing- only wish we had more time in the gard
SUPPORT A SMALL LOCAL BUSINESS!!!! We booked our tour the day before our ship arrived into Barbados. Simone was wonderful to work with and communicated with us. Our tour guide and driver was Scott, Simone's husband and owner. He's funny, easy to interact with and knowledgeable about the culture and history of the island. The cave was a nice and informative tram ride through the caverns. Beautiful to see!!! The gardens are a must do!!! Scott is also master gardener. He walked us through and was informative of what we were seeing, touching, smelling and hearing while strolling through Hunte's Gardens. We learned a lot about the breathtaking flowers, foliage and trees that created a peaceful setting. We ended our time with a short visit with Mr. Hunte himself. To wrap up our tour, Scott took us to an unforgettable (and high) view of the ocean and the island. You will not regret booking this tour during your stay in Barbados or as a tour off your cruise ship.
This was a fabulous tour. Scott picked me up exactly on time and was a most knowledgeable and interesting guide. He pointed out places and things of interest as we drove to Harrison’s Cave, and told me a lot about the history and culture of Barbados. The caves were fabulous. The tour is by a small electric train, which stops for photos. Very interesting and informative guide. Then on to Hunte’s Gardens. Scott knows the name of every flower and shrub! We net Mr Hunte and had tea. The whole trip was extremely enjoyable and I would recommend this trip and Scott to everyone.
You won’t understand Barbados from your resort. Get out with Scott (born & bred Bajan) in his air conditioned minibus and bluetoothed headset to learn about flora, fauna, history, society, religion, culture, geography, food (lunch included), climate, drink (a free rum punch, proper stuff) and anything else that you want know. If you want to see sea-eroded caves, windmills for crushing sugar cane, appreciate race tracks (horses and cars), understand how many variety of snakes live in the island, why houses are built the way they are, how to plant banana trees, how letters get delivered where there are no addresses, why breadfruit might be the cash crop of the future, despite Non-Disclosure Agreements who’s doing what to who, Scott’s yer man. Not interested in who Abramovich visits, where Princess Margaret’s house was, why people dumped their rubbish on top of Quakers’ family vaults, where they banged up Jerry Hall in the cells, why the largest Jewish cemetery in the Caribbean is in
These two excursions made for a fun and interesting day. Harrison's Cave is amazing, so beautiful! And Hunts Garden is both beautiful and relaxing to wander through. Our tour was very well done, we were picked up on time and were treated very well. I would highly recommend this tour.
