Traveler Reviews

Following the lead of others, we arrived at 9 AM via taxi. We did investigate the bus option, and were told that we would want the bus to El Tuito, which had just changed (seasonal apparently) to running on the hour, at the top of the hour, from the Zona Romantica area (versus every half hour) The bus was not the same bus as that on Constitution. The phone number to the administrative office on line was not working, I did get a great response when I called the number listed on my confirmation. There was a slight bit of confusion, as one of our taxi drivers was offering to take us there at a future date, but was insistent that it was closed on Mondays (I also read a blog that said it was closed Mondays). He had apparently taken someone a week or two prior, and said it was closed. He called a colleague and confirmed it was closed. That said, I had a confirmation for today’s date (Monday, 12/13) , and did call the number I had been given when I initially emailed the director for a

Honestly, I never would have considered this excursion had I not talked with a guest in the pool at our condo. Boy am I grateful for the recommendation. The VBG is stunningly beautiful and very well presented. Another great surprise was the quality of the food and drinks served in the VBG restaurant. The food was very fresh and hot with tons of flavor. The view at lunch is also over the top. We hired Vallarta Transfers and Incentives for the 45 minute ride from downtown PV and we were sure glad we did. Four adults in a large van was WAY better than four adults crammed into a PV taxi. The drive along the coast and then up the mountain was beautiful and entertaining as well. Our group are all recently retired and some of the beautiful trails at the VBG were a little challenging, but we all agreed the beautiful sights were worth it. This took us about 4.5 hours from pick up to return. Very unique and enjoyable excursion.

There is no line ???????. Absolutely no one was at the register.....ever. I would just wait until I get to the garden if I was you.

It was a fun little get away from the town. The Jaguar trail was a nice stroll with a river that makes for a nice photo opportunity. If you take an Uber or taxi to the botanical garden and it’s a busy day make sure to sign up for a return taxi a bit earlier than your expected return time.
