If you look closely at the bricks, you can still see the stamps of the manufacturing companies. The bricks were brought to Barbados by ships, which used them as ballast. During the 17th and 18th centuries, these red bricks were used to construct boiler furnaces in Barbados sugar factories. The large wheel in front of the snack bar was acquired from an old sugar factory and was once used to drive rollers for crushing the sugar cane. The most popular animal at the Reserve is The Barbados Green Monkey. The monkey has brown and grey thick fur that has yellow and olive green flecks in it as an adult. In some lights, the monkey can appear green. This is why they are called green monkeys. Barbados Green Monkeys generally live in groups of fifteen to twenty. Traveler Reviews

What a wonderful days tour round several great spots on the island. Hunte’s garden, the wild Atlantic coast and the Barbados wildlife reserve with Glory Tours. Our driver, Narrem, was superb; great knowledge, flexible when asked and took marvellous photos for us. Wewould highly recommend him.

Enjoyed the tour a lot! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and super friendly! Barbados is a very beautiful island and has a lot to offer!

This is a great tour , I really enjoyed it . The only issue I had that I was solo and they seat me alone for lunch . Everyone else that was a party of two or more got to seat with other groups of people from the tour . It would have been nice to be seated with another group since I was solo . Our driver was Narin and one of tour person at St.Nicholas Abbey was Julie (Great job) . We stop at Bathsheba for about 10 mins , wish the tour took us down to the beach but we had limited time . Hunte’s Garden was very peaceful and nice.

We did the Taste of Barbados tour. Our guide, Lisa, was superb. Funny, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We saw Hunte's gardens, a total surprise... a haven of tropical plants with birds (including hummingbirds) and butterflies. A stop-off at Bathsheba beach, then super lunch. We also visited the rum distillery at St Nicholas Abbey (and had rum punch), before finishing the day at Barbados Wildlife Park. Overall, a good experience of different parts of island life, with plenty of cultural and historical info provided by Lisa. We would recommend!

The problem was mixing cruise pasengers and then travelling to hotels to pick up other guests. lots of wasted time with cruise passengers who hasd to back to ship on time (made it by 20 minutes) and hotel guests who were angry their tour time was reduced in their eyes. it led to a very rushed day with tensions among guests. not overly impressed. the atlantic shore is indeed beautiful and one should find a ay to experience it.
