Traveler Reviews

My wife and I went on the tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. Not commercialized in any way. Such friendly people certainly got to us the Bula word heaps. Very family friendly too

We choose this tour as we wanted our teenage children to experience Fijian culture, and see some of the beautiful hinterland scenery. We all really enjoyed this activity packed day. Our guides James & Lorraine were very knowledgeable and helpful. As we were the only ones on tour we felt that it was very personalised, and that we were part of the village family for the day. What a privilege! The waterfall hike was manageable, and the waters refreshing! When we returned we participated in the traditional Kava ceremony, then a tasty Fijian lunch which had been lovingly prepared. Afterwards we did the horse-riding / fishing option. These were relaxing activities that we were all able to participate in. Don't expect helmets or stirrups though. We were 'led' on the horse, rather than have control ourselves. Felt safe enough! Late afternoon, we went to the mud springs and thermal pools. Because it was late in the day it wasn't crowded, so the experience felt special to us. Lots of f

My friend and I did the hike to a waterfall at Nalsutale village, and then chose the option for Natadola Beach in the afternoon. Our driver was nice, but very hard to understand and didn't really give us much information. When we arrived at the village, we met our young guide who would take us to the waterfall. He was very quiet and didn't give us much information at all about plants, etc along way. Mostly he talked about a rugby tournament he was supposed to play in the next day and how he needed to buy new shoes. I felt like was trying to get us to buy shoes for him, which was a bit awkward. Overall the guide seemed like he had no interest in guiding us. The hike the waterfall was very short, about 20 mins even though we were going slowly. I would have preferred a longer hike. The waterfall itself was ok, nothing too special. We went swimming which was nice. Then back to the village for lunch. I thought we were supposed to get a tour of the village, learn about weaving, horse
