Traveler Reviews

Excellent tour of Montreal's history and architecture, from the first French settlement to the quiet revolution. Mike the bike was our guide - very knowledgeable, tons of interesting stories and viewpoints. Bikes were good quality and well suited to a tour - very upright step-through with 21 gears (we only used 7, despite the hill).

Michael was our tour guide and he made it miserable. He was condescending in his response to questions, and did not know how to politely navigate we tourists. He was knowledgeable, but I checked out already after his first smart ass remark. I managed to get some decent pictures out of it and made a couple of great acquaintances. However, I was jealous of the other bike tour company who’s guests were given fun props during their bike tour and were laughing and enjoying themselves. I only did not tip once before, and I did not tip again. I will not recommend this tour to my family and friends who will travel to Montreal in the future.

The bikes were great, and the amount of Montreal we covered in four hours was perfect. Mike, our guide, was so biased about the history, language, religion, politics and socialization of city and province that we didn't get a clear picture of any of those aspects. Many of his assertions were lopsided and from his own lens, while others were complete fabrications. That being said, I would recommend the tour for the great electric-assist bikes and the amount of the city seen during this longer tour. It was great that we were able to keep the bikes after and explore the island and some other places not covered on the tour. A balanced approach to recounting Montreal's history, politics, etc is recommended to make it better.

The bike tour of Montreal is an excellent way to see the city! You learn about history, architecture, life in Montreal and the bike system. It’s a very cool picture into what it might be like to live there a d bike to work or shops. The fresh bagel is awesome!

A highly entertaining tour of Montreal led by Mike, a revisionist historian, with many Interesting views on the history of Quebec and the City of Montreal. You may find yourself scratching your head at times, but I promise you will never be bored.
