Overview
This remarkable half-day tour, starts with pick-up at your hotel in an air-conditioned van. Pass through St. George's, the prettiest capital in the Caribbean. Continuing along the island's western coast, turn onto a tiny mountain road that leads to the perfectly picturesque Concord Waterfalls -- a set of three waterfalls, in the lush mountain lands with lots of spice trees and small houses with flower gardens. You can swim in the waterfall if you wish, the water is cool and leaves you wonderfully refreshed.Carry on to the fishing town of Gouyave and spice processing station, where you can see why the island is called the "Isle of Spice" and how the spices are processed after picking, in much the same way that has been done for a hundred years. Visit the chocolate factory, where you will walk through the cocoa fields and learn how chocolate is made, in addition to a tasting. A tour of Grenada would not be complete without visiting the island's interior, so head inland, traversing centuries old plantations to see the Grand Etang Lake and rainforest, in Grenada's largest national park before heading down the mountain, and back to your hotel.

Traveler Reviews

Our tour guide, Dexter, was incredible. He was deeply knowledgable and passionate about Grenada, its history, architecture, culture, and wildlife- especially the flora. This was definitely not his first tour; guy was an absolute Ace. He told us details about the island like he was reading from a textbook, but still answered all of our lame tourist questions with a smile. And he shared with us some unbelievable personal experiences growing up in the 80s. If you don't know about Grenadian politics in the 80s (as we didn't) his first hand accounts will stick with you for days. More than just educational: we played in a water fall, tasted fresh chocolate, and even got to see (and feed!) wild monkeys. It was a blast!

We had such a wonderful tour with Michael! He is so knowledgeable about the island and he makes sure you have fun! We went in Dec 2021 and they picked us up from Sandals. We weren't sure at first if we could go because of the resort rules but he drove down the front desk and all was good. Great value for money! We got to swim at Concord Falls and there are multiple opportunities to buy local spices and chocolate!

My husband and I had an amazing time on our full-day tour with Michael yesterday. Michael knows so much about the island, and his love for the country shines. He was so personable and had a fun sense of humor; it was such a treat to drive around the island with him! Tour highlights included Concord Waterfall; tasting Grenada’s national dish, oil down, which isn’t something we expected to enjoy so much but it really blew us away (SO good!!); we also loved the rum and chocolate factories; and being very fortunate to encounter monkeys at Grand Etang National Park! (The monkeys don’t always come out, so this was a blessing!) We are very grateful for Michael’s knowledge and fun personality for making our tour one of our favorite days on our Grenada vacation. Tip: Bring money to buy chocolate and also shop from the vendors by Concord Waterfall. The people by the waterfall aren’t pushy but sort of guilt you by saying stuff like “This is how I make a living. We’d really appreciate you

Thank you so much to our tour guide Michael! He made our day memorable! Michael made sure we had a day to remember including the drive and feeding the fish. Thank you Michael

This was a great day!! The waterfall is beautiful and the drive along the way is also beautiful. Our guide, Dexter, was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the island and well acquainted with the native flora. Only suggestion I would make is take a snack and water with you. There’s really no place for lunch... unless you call the chocolate tasting “lunch”!
