The entire trip was memorable. Seeing the mountain was breathtaking. The flexibility of our driver was excellent. Beating the clouds and giving us the experience of our view was his priority and we are thankful. His knowledge of the surrounding area was amazing and informative. Lunch was well thought out and beyond what was expected. Overall this experience is without question worth the money. The multiple stops to and from the mountain greatly increased the tours value. Please hike the waterfalls even if it's raining we were the only couple to do this and WOW!! the others missed out, but our driver let us experience this. The only con we can say is we were picked up last which caused us not to have seats next to each other which was important to us. Do to this fact our 5 star rating is reduced to 4.85

Jake was a great guide. He taught us a great deal about the mountain. He also supplied a delicious lunch and even had mats for us to sit on so that we didn't get wet from the constant rain. Unfortunately, there was only so much he could do due to the weather. The weather was cold (in the 20s), rainy, snowing, and with dense clouds. We were unable to see most of the mountain. In the early afternoon our group finally gave in and cut the day short. In terms of safety, everyone wore masks in the van and indoors at all times. Distancing in the van was clearly not an option. I think that if the weather had not been so terrible this would have been a 5 star trip. If you schedule this trip after late September you run the real risk of having a less than optimal experience. However I would definitely consider this trip if you can go earlier in the year.

Beautiful scenery with great views of mount St Helens Justin fox was our tour guide very knowledgeable and personable delicious lunch with many stops of interest along the way

Elk of Evergreen Escapes provided a unique, immersive, active, and memorable tour of Mount St Helens. Elk was a perfect guide, always prepared, knowledgeable and a great storyteller. This tour differs from some of the less expensive ones as it is a total turn-key experience – never a worry about any of your needs. From the hotel pick-up we were spoiled. We enjoyed fresh pressed coffee and breakfast cakes/snacks at our first stop at the Lewis and Clark Park. Here we took a short hike through an old forest where Elk shared great stories of the forest history/lore and helped establish a baseline of what Mt St Helens looked like prior to the eruption. We never wanted for food/snacks/lunch/water or bathroom breaks. The actual site at Mt St Helens is a clear contrast with its crater and surrounding devastation that is still so evident even 40 years later. We hiked in the surrounding area called the hummocks (hills created from the explosion) and explored the beauty of how the area is regener

It's a great trip with our tour guide - Jade. Although the weather is cloudy when we visiting the jhonson ridge, it created a unique atmosphere and reminded us of history. I also enjoyed the lake and the stories that Jade shared with us.
