Traveler Reviews

Phil ensured that we all had a terrific day. Safety was always paramount be it the use of hand sanitiser, checking in, wearing masks in the lighthouse tour, etc. the food samples were so great and because of the congenial manner of our guide Phil, we felt like we made a whole lot of new friends on the tour. There was a lot of interesting information shared about Bruny island history and Tasmania in general. Phil answered many questions and he proved his knowledge was up to the task. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who would enjoy an interesting and delicious day out.

It was such a pity the racial comments, bigotry views and sheer lack of respect for his customers spoilt what was otherwise, a great value for money tour. Spectacular scenery. Views breathtaking. Yet, Grant rushed us at every location. Saying one hour apparently means 45 mins and after asking, ‘where’s the other one’, chased me done asking, ‘what’s going on’. The fantastic seafood lunch half eaten, with no time to finish. A truly fantastic day rushed through with no time to deep breathe or relax. I have been on many Viator tours in other countries, this driver guide was the worse. Joking about impacts of the Chinese government’s actions, in front of Chinese Australian clients was embarrassing as well as racist. After the recent ‘jumping castle’ tragedy in Davenport, Grant’s comments about ‘schoolchildren being a rare commodity around here’, was extremely insensitive. The whole day he commented about my friend, as she had been unable to climb the lighthouse stairs, uncalled for snide co

It was a pity the driver’s racial comments, bigotry views and sheer disrespect for his customers, spoilt what should have been a great value for money, wonderful experience. Spectacular views with breathtaking scenery. Yet, Grant rushed at every location. One hour really meant 45 mins, chased us down each time, at one point asking my friend,‘where’s the other one’. Finding me asking, ‘what’s going on’! No time to finish our seafood platter for two lunch, which would have been spectacular. No time to take photos of the pub/hotel edge of the ocean views. A truly fabulous adventure spoilt by being rushed and not allowed to breathe and relax. His comments about the Chinese governments impact, in front of his Australian Chinese guest was embarrassing. At one point he joked about Tasmanian school children being ‘a rare commodity’! Extremely insensitive after the recent Davenport jumping castle tragedy. The whole day, Grant made comments about us being slow, being in my sixties I don’t move o

Grant was a terrific driver/guide/host. Pickup was timely & his commentary was both informative & interesting. Lots of great stops across the island. Food was all delicious & lighthouse tour was very good.

Our guide (Grant) was very knowlegable and informative. Activities on the tour were as advertised and all very enjoyable. Definitely fits the bill to be called a food safari.
