Great dives with a great team. Marcel, Steve and Jay were very knowledgeable of the dive sites and made sure to point fish and coral out to us so we didnt miss anything. Saw a very large moorey eel eating an octopus which was super cool. We had planned on diving two days but ended up diving four because it was so much fun and relaxing. No overloaded boats or crazy busy dive sites. We were never rushed. Actually very sad to leave on our last day of diving and cant wait to go back. I dont want to leave out the amazing lady that holds it all together.!! Forgive me I will spell her name wrong so I will just say Marj.
The drive master and captain were personable and cheerful. They took their time reviewing a few skills with me before we went down to endure I was comfortable. So glad we chose them to dive with! We will booking another five with them in a few days :)
After making contact w/a few other dive operations on the island, (one of them was having their boat serviced that week), we were referred to Pure Diving.... So glad we went w/them! It just so happened, the other couple scheduled w/us, cancelled, so it was just the 2 of us. Erik was our dive master & he was awesome... he had to coax us along a few times, we were so enamoured with the reef, wreck, marine life around us....:) Before our first dive, it was discovered my inflator hose was leaking, Marcel fixed me right up! These guys run a top notch, yet relaxing operation, we can't wait to get back & go again!
Friendly staff, comfortable boat, amazing dive sites - what more can you ask? Pure Diving provides tanks and weights, of course, but they also provide room to set up your gear and space to store things you don't want to get wet. They are right there if you have a problem or question and double check that your equipment is working correctly. The dive briefing is safety-oriented as well as providing site information. Steven and Marcel make sure everyone, experienced or not, is comfortable before you roll or giant stride in, and they are there if you have a problem with your descent. On the dive, listen and watch for the dive guide to alert you to something special - a moray eel, a lionfish, an octopus or a school of squid. They are as excited as you are! We will keep coming back to Pure Diving, and you should too ??
So this review may be a little fluffy due to the fact that pure divers saved one of my dive days. I was on a cruise and scheduled to dive with another dive company. That company did not show up at port for the pick up. Pure divers was there to pick up a few other cruise ship divers. The driver stopped asked me who i was waiting for, help me look for them, lent me her phone to try to call them...She then came back after helping her customers and offered to take me as well. She made it clear she was not trying to poach another companies customer, but it was getting late and looked like i was forgotten behind... I was, after finally making contact with the other company they told me "i thought we picked you up, we picked up someone with your first name" ???? Dive crew was nice, very safety orientated, dive sites were also nice with some good visibility and live reef system. We had a group of 8, they had more than enough staff to manage us. As another review said, this is not a big shi
