Traveler Reviews

These people were awesome! They gave us some great recommendations, and everything that was organised was quality. Karen, Roger and Tony were great to talk to and gave us some good local advice on where to eat and shop.

I liked the cycle track as some cycle tracks have too many roads and cycling on roads gives me anxiety. The track had nice scenaries of ocean and vineyards. A tip is to book lunch at the wineries as they get quite busy. I went to Mission Estate and it was lovely. The track is mostly flat so nothing too intense. I recommend Takaro Trails as their bikes are of great quality and Karen and her team were very nice and accommodating. This trail was a good way to explore Napier :)

We arrived at Hawkes Bay off Princess cruise. Found bikes but quickly discovered we would need at least 4 hrs (40km) to get to closest winery and back. Good trails and scenery. 1 of 4 bikes did not have carry bag and post would not stay up and seat swivelled around. No replacement was offered.

The set up and bikes were great but having planned to do the shorter of the two wine tours it became obvious when we picked up the bikes we didn’t have time. So although the biking along the boardwalk was nice I would have preferrred with hindsight to have spent the little time we had in Napier. Make sure if you book bikes especially if you are off a cruise ship you have time.... our turnaround was too quick to get the value out of the potential experience. Bikes were well maintained and the meet and greet seamless. Recommend if you have adequate time.

Very friendly people.
The ride we chose was ok, but not spectacular. Good equipment though! Always nice and helpful people on the route, to show you where to go.
