Traveler Reviews

Tour Guide Greivin was friendly, accomodating, and knowledgeable. Rain forest hike and waterfall views were awesome. Authentic CR lunch was delicious. All well worth the time and $.

We spent the day seeing waterfalls, mud baths, suspension bridges and more! Our guide Rainer is what made this trip extra special. Rainer was super professional while being fun and personable. His knowledge of the area and the insights he was able to provide us while we enjoyed the sights was exceptional. We learned a lot about the culture, the environment, and so much more from a local's perspective. Rainer even went out of his way to engage with the locals which added to our understanding. And he helped us negotiate with street side vendors for a soccer jersey for our son. This was our second excursion with Pininos and we highly recommend them. We will be back!

Very serene and relaxing day. The walk through the rain forest was stunning and the mud bath was amazing. The tour guide Jose was very nice, and accommodating. Highly recommended.

We had a great day with Jose as our driver and guide. Fairly long drive, but comfortable air-conditioned van. The first attraction was a tractor ride to a trail that crosses a river with a high suspension bridge, very beautiful. Then we hiked down to the bottom of a waterfall where we swam and cooled off. Then we walked around a geothermal area with bubbling mud pots and fumaroles. Nice lunch at the visitor center, and the fresh orange juice was delicious! Then we had fun playing in the mud baths and sauna. We were a little disappointed that the active crater area was closed, so we couldn't walk inside the active crater, but we still had a great day, and awesome guide.
