Traveler Reviews

Our tour guide was amazing. His knowledge and delivery of the story was exceptional! The pace was perfect! I would recommend this tour to anyone who is considering it.

The stories that Larry shared. Loved hearing the women's history. Larry made the history come alive.

Larry, was extremely personable, knowledgeable, and so friendly. I cannot recommend holy city tours strongly enough. He was professional and gave a really good look into the life of women including people of color in early Charleston. He is one excellent story teller and I wouldn’t miss a chance to walk and learn from him again.

This was the most engaging and informative tour I have ever experienced. Larry is a thoughtful and compassionate soul, and he transports you into the perspectives of centuries of Charleston’s women. He takes millennia of historic stereotypes of demographic groups, throws them in the trash, and remolds history as it should be told, inclusive of all people who were in it and their wits, intellect, and passion. I wish this tour were 10 hours long because there are endless stories to be told.

The best storyteller! We throughly enjoyed our time. So much history threaded through his stories! I hope to learn more.
