This was my 6 th trip to Charleston and I learned a lot of new interesting facts from Laurence in the alley and hidden passages tour. I highly recommend it as it shows you Charleston from another angle. It is fun to walk between the old mansions and hear their story, to walk along the Cobblestones from England and the the old tracks and pop out on the other side almost as if through a secret door. This was easy walking- on flat comfortable shoes- and plenty of shade if you wanted it. Learning about Charleston's economic, seafaring and revolutionary past was fascinating.

Capt. Jim was an extraordinary tour guide. He knew so much about the history of Charleston and could tell he was excited to share that knowledge. It was a really interesting tour. We really One of the things that really stood out to my husband and me was the fact that any of the locals we met outside on the tour knew Jim by name and he them. It was so impressive. Highly recommend!!!

Great way to explore Charleston’s little hideaways. Our tour guide Jim was very knowledgeable and a good time! Loved all the places he took us to.

This was an amazing and thorough historical tour of this beautiful city. Laurence is a highly knowledgeable tour guide and he gave us a memorable experience! The tour includes historically significant buildings and churches, the beautiful architecture of the homes, gardens and alleys, and the fascinating history behind it all. I highly recommend Laurence and this tour.

Guide seemed more interested in telling their own story about themselves. Having been on numerous historical tours, there was an almost absolute lack of historical connection.
