Vimos poucos peixes, alguns
It started well, with fish coming to the windows to see what manner of creature we were. Starting in less deep water there were shoals of small fishes, but not as many as I've seen with a simple snorkel on the hotel beach. Sponges were huge and stunning in colour and shape; various plume-like colonies of invertebrates were on show. Compared with snorkelling on many reefs it was disappointing, but interesting enough in giving a broad view of the sea bed. After a while the commentary was very strange, with little information except for the way some fish can change their gender according to conditions at the time. Was the sea life locally getting better, or suffering from the climate or from the half a dozen cruise ships at Bridgetown??Dunno. Well, it passed the early evening very satisfactorily but a scientific tour it was not.
We saw the bottom of the ocean and all life that is there Fish, Turtles and many forms of plants. We saw Mati Ray
My boyfriend and I did the nighttime ( 17:00pm ) submarine, which was originally booked for 16:00pm. We had to pay extra $10BBD each to be dropped back for the hotel although they advertise pick up and drop off free of charge. We saw a turtle and some fish at the start but not much of a variety which was disappointing. The further down we went the less fish we saw. HOWEVER, 145ft they turned the lights off within the submarine and we saw fish that lit up which was AMAZING!! The staff were really nice, some of the jokes they said were a bit cheesy but was nice they tried to make people feel at ease especially those who were scared. At the end they provided a personal drink and 3/4 canapes which were delicious, nice way to end the trip.
