Booked a submarine trip as it was something we had never done before. Felt totally at ease and had no worries or fears at all. Crew on the submarine were hilarious and the banter between them made the trip worthwhile
The submarine expedition was a very interesting and fun experience. Terry the tourguide was an real entertainer! The only negative part was that the hotel pickup we had requested never showed up so we had to take a taxi to the harbour.
Truly stunning. Adrian, Mikey and Curtis provided a breathtaking, informative and entertaining time underwater. Even having seen reefs on TV programs it was still captivating to be transported to this wonderful world of fish, corals and reef formations up close. Nothing compares to seeing this environment for real. We now understand why people dive. There is a wreck that the trip visits which hosts all kinds of fish and adds to the whole sense of adventure. This has to be right up there with one of life’s best experiences and if you ever get the chance, go for it, it would be a tragedy to miss this.
Absolutely amazing trip. I was so nervous to go down but the crew were so much fun they completely took my mind off being submerged. Not only was it beautiful and we got to see a sunken ship but the guides were very comical the entire trip. The ladies in reservations even sung Happy Birthday to my husband. If you are even a little on the fence you HAVE to do this one.
This is one of the 'must do' activities on a visit to Barbados. A launch takes you out to sea to meet the submarine as it surfaces from its previous dive and the last lot of customers transfer from the sub. Then it's on to the Atlantis and, after a few more safety words and terrible jokes and puns, we dive to the top of the coral reef at about 60 feet. Lots of fish to see and some corals still growing on top of the reef. Then down to below 140 feet and sailing(?) over a wreck and a brief glimpse of a turtle before heading back to the surface and a rum punch back on the launch as we return to the harbour and collect our submariner certificates.
