I enjoyed seeing the Tequila town and production plants. Unfortunately, the tour was 90% Spanish and 10% English. My guide, Ramon, was nice but mostly ignored me in the car and spoke/explained things to the Spanish speakers. He would explain something for like 10-15 minutes in Spanish and give me a one-line response in English. It’s super awkward sitting in the car for one hour, talking to no one, because you can’t understand what anyone is saying. If the company wants to exclusively offer a Spanish tour that’s fine, but they should have told me so I could arrange something else. Definitely room for improvement in my humble opinion.

Alejandro goes above and beyond. We visited the agave fields, los 3 Toños, José Cuervo, and Tequila. Had a wonderful time!

We did this tour on a Sunday. When booked, we didn’t see that we would be going to two distilleries. Just one. We went to two distilleries and the first one took almost 2 hours. We only had one hour a half to explore the town of Tequila. We would’ve loved to have more time, instead of going to two different distilleries (since they explained the same thing). Our guide alejandro and our driver Mario were knowledge about the history of gudalajara, the town of tequila, and the process of making tequila.

I was with two friends and we all enjoyed this day so much. It turned out to be so much more than just a tour of a couple tequila distilleries. Our guide was Alejandro. He is multi-lingual, very informative and a little entertaining! You will enjoy your day. The small town own Tequila itself is something to see and experience. The beautiful terrain in that area is spectacular as well. Have a wonderful trip as we did!
