This eight-night Desert & Delta Safaris Ultimate Family Safari allows for the family to experience a choice and combination of four key ecosystems and environments within Botswana on a fun-filled adventure of discovery suited and focused on the specific needs of the family. Your days will be spent on safari exploring the wild, pristine wilderness of Botswana and there are also opportunities to engage culturally with local communities and their children.

Dedicated family host per camp to plan activities, meals etc. Safari Activity Bag for children aged 6 – 15 years old. Adapted in-camp activities for the Children and family members including basket weaving, animal spoor tracking, bird identification, back-of-house eco tour and more. Transfers as mentioned in the itinerary.

Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival
On arrival at the Maun airport, your family will be met by a representative from Desert & Delta Safaris who will assist you with boarding your light aircraft transfer to Leroo La Tau. Landing at the Leroo La Tau airstrip, your guide will meet you and transfer you by road to Leroo la Tau where you can settle into your luxurious family room - consisting of two bedrooms and two bathrooms, overlooking the Boteti River.
Your family will spend the next two (2) nights at Leroo La Tau enjoying daily game drives along the Boteti River to witness the prolific wildlife that frequent the region. Option excursions to the nearby Khumaga village are also available for a chance to experience Botswana's unique culture.
Overnight Leroo La Tau in a 2 Bedroom Family Suite. Meals included: Dinner.
Day 2
Maun, Boteti River
Your guide is your host for the entire trip and will be your alarm clock every morning (very early), share meals with you, guide your exploration, and even take photos of you, upon request. A typical day on safari may look similar to the below:
- 05:30 - Wakeup call
- 06:00 - Morning game activity
- 09:00 - Return from game activity and enjoy breakfast
- 11:00 - Possible mid-morning game activity closer to the lodge
- 13:00 - Lunch
- 16:00 - Afternoon tea on camp deck followed by afternoon game activity and sundowners in the bush
- 19:00 - Return from the afternoon activity and head to dinner
Overnight Leroo La Tau in a 2-bedroom family room. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 3
Moremi Game Reserve
After your final morning activity at Leroo La Tau, you head back to the airstrip for your light aircraft transfer to Camp Xakanaxa in the Moremi Game Reserve. Your light aircraft flight will offer you an introduction to the Okavango Delta as you witness the vastness of the world heritage site from the air. Landing at the Moremi airstrip, your guide will meet you and transfer you by road to Camp Xakanaxa where you can settle into your luxurious family tent. You will spend the next two nights at Camp Xakanaxa enjoying game drives and boating excursions as you search for the prolific wildlife that inhabits the Moremi Game Reserve.
Overnight at Camp Xakanaxa in a 2 Bedroom Family Suite. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 4
Moremi Game Reserve
Participate in any of the lodge game drives or walking safaris.
Overnight at Camp Xakanaxa. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 5
Okavango Delta
Enjoy a final morning game drive in the Moremi Game Reserve before your light aircraft transfer to Camp Okavango, a remote lodge on a private concession in the heart of the Okavango Delta. Here you will spend the next two (2) nights exploring the intricacies of the Okavango Delta from a variety of activities including mokoro excursions, boating safaris, and guided bush walks. If your family is keen on fishing, optional fishing excursions are available in season. A helicopter flight over the Okavango Delta is also available (additional fees apply) for those interested in discovering more of the Okavango Delta by air.

Day 6
Okavango Delta
Participate in any of the lodge game drives or walking safaris.

Day 7
Chobe National Park
Your final stop on your Ultimate Family Safari Package is Chobe Game Lodge. After your morning activity at Camp Okavango, you will transfer by light aircraft to Kasane Airport where your guide will meet you and transfer you to Chobe Game Lodge where you will spend the next two nights. With daily game drives and exciting river safaris on offer, Chobe Game Lodge is the perfect end to your vacation. The lodge offers a variety of luxuries allowing you to take the necessary time to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Day 8
Chobe National Park
Participate in any of the lodge game drives or walking safaris.

Departure
At the end of your stay, you will be transferred by road back to Kasane Airport for your regional flight out of Botswana.
