Visitors experience meaningful and often life-changing encounters with wildlife replacing bustling city life with the tranquil sounds and splendour of untamed nature. Time slows down as your body adjusts to the natural rhythms of the African bush. The Greater Kruger refers to the Kruger National Park itself as well as the private game reserves on its Western border such as the Sabi Sand, Timbavati, Manyeleti and Thornybush Private Game Reserve. Kruger National Park is the largest game reserve in South Africa and one of the world’s biggest wildlife sanctuaries. Approximately the same size as Israel or Wales, it covers some 19,485 square kilometres offering a rich diversity of ecosystems that support over 145 mammal species including Lions, Leopards, Buffalos, Elephants and Black Rhinos that make up Africa’s Big 5 and over 500 bird species.
Note: Pack very minimal and lightweight, earth toned clothing. Ideal colors for safari wear are Greens, Light Browns, Olives, Tan, Khakis. Since Royal Malewane provides laundry services, packing light should be easy. It’s always good to pack a windbreaker or fleece, as the night game drives can be cool. There is a small curio shop at Royal Malewane that sells clothing, hats, caps, batteries, sun cream and other essentials, so don’t panic if you forget to pack something.

Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival
Upon arrival in Johannesburg airport, you will be met by a representative holding a sign with your name on it. They will assist with luggage and transfer you to your onward flight to Kruger National Park. Departure from Johannesburg to Thornybush, specific times confirmed upon booking confirmation. Upon arrival a representative from Royal Malewane will meet and transfer you to your accommodations. Four (4) nights’ accommodations at Royal Malewane in a Luxury Suite. You may choose which area of Royal Malewane you prefer to stay at Malwane, Farmstead or Waterside. Choices are subject to availability at the time of booking. Stays are inclusive of day and night game drives, walking safaris, all meals, selected local beverages and famed South African wines (excluding French Champagne). Once you have checked in the remainder of your afternoon is at leisure before departing on your afternoon game drive.
Four (4) nights’ accommodations at Royal Malewane in a Luxury Suite. You may choose which area of Royal Malewane you prefer to stay at Malwane, Farmstead or Waterside. Choices are subject to availability at the time of booking.

Day 2
Greater Kruger National Park
Participate in any of the lodge game drives or walking safaris. A typical day on safari may look similar to the below:
- 05:30 - Wakeup call
- 06:00 - Morning game activity
- 09:00 - Return from game activity and enjoy breakfast
- 11:00 - Possible mid-morning game activity closer to the lodge or spa treatment (if available)
- 13:00 - Lunch
- 16:00 - Afternoon tea on camp deck followed by afternoon game activity and sundowners in the bush
- 19:00 - Return from the afternoon activity and either freshen up first or head straight to dinner

Day 3
Greater Kruger National Park
Participate in any of the lodge game drives or walking safaris. Overnight at Royal Malewane.
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 4
Greater Kruger National Park
Participate in any of the lodge game drives or walking safaris. Overnight at Royal Malewane.
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 5
Greater Kruger National Park-Cape Town
Possible early morning game drive before your transfer to the airport. Exact time of your transfer will be advised the night prior. Upon arrival in Johannesburg a representative will greet you and transfer you to the airport for your onward flight to Cape Town. Upon arrival in Cape Town you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day at leisure.
4 nights’ accommodations at The Silo Hotel in a Silo Room. Meals included: Breakfast.
Day 6
Cape Town
We suggest taking the Full Day Cape Point Tour highlighting the Houte Bay, the Fish Market at mariners Wharf, Capmans Peak Drive, The Cape of Good Hope and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
Overnight at The Silo Hotel. Meals included: Breakfast.
Day 7
Cape Town
We suggest taking the City & Robben Island Tour highlighting Table Mountain and Robben Island.
Overnight at The Silo Hotel. Meals included: Breakfast.
Day 8
Cape Town
We suggest taking the optional Winelands Tour highlighting the Cape wine region and Stellenbosch.
Overnight at The Silo Hotel. Meals included: Breakfast.
Day 9
Departure
Today, you will be transferred to the Cape Town Airport for your onwards flight.
Meals included: Breakfast.
